Traxxas Rustler Radio Controlled Car Reviews
 |
Part of the Traxxas RC trucks family, the Rustler is a 1/10 scale, ready to run truck. It has a two wheel drive, Stinger 20 turn stock motor, electronic speed control, big rubber tires. Although it is not as fast as the Jato or Revo, it is still fun to drive, thanks to its nice aspect, chrome wheels, TRX 2.5 engine, as well as to many other well conceived features, such as Ultra Shocks, double deck T-6 aluminum and composite chassis, ball bearings, powerful brakes and suspensions. Its 2.5 engine is not as powerful as the 3.3 one, but it's still more powerful than that of many other trucks.
It can reach speeds of up to 25 mph, it is very durable and easy to handle, thanks to its ingenious weight distribution and good suspensions. Another interesting feature is its EZ starting system, that makes it really easy to start your car, just by pushing a button, and that controls this process in order to avoid any issues. The Traxxas Rustler is available in two versions: a nitro one and an electric one, so that you can choose the one that is more convenient for you. If you don't want to deal with the high maintenance required by a nitro version, the electric one will do just fine. It is mostly appropriate for beginners and is is fact, one of the best RC options out there for beginners, because it is very tough and you can learn how to upgrade it with all kinds of accessories, as you get more experienced.
Also the assembly is easy as A, B, C. It's pre-assembled, but there are still some things that need to be done before running, such as applying the decals, setting up the antenna, glue the tires, insert the batteries and fill the tank. The stuff you have to buy to complete what you find in the pack are a 7.2 volt battery charger, fuel, after burn oil and batteries for the controller. The Rustler was designed for off road racing, so that's where you'll see its full potential. So thanks to its powerful engine, precise steering, independent suspension and high torque, the Traxxas Rustler is definitely worth your attention.
