| Types of Radio Controlled Cars The Radio Controlled cars are usually seen as gadgets, toys or items of a hobby. They indeed represent an ingenuity marvel and fascinate young and adults as well. Radio Controlled Cars can either bee suitable for on-road or off-road tracks, can use different means of power, can have different shapes, colors and material used to build them. These cars differ one from another firstly by their engine and the way it's powered. You can have the electric-easiest to handle models, others that work on fuel, the nitro cars and the gasoline powered Radio Controlled Cars.. The electric RCC have electric motors and rechargeable cells that can either be nickel- cadium, nickel metal hydride or lithium polymer. These types are usually the small cars, the easiest ones and the most suitable for a hobby or for beginners. The fuel powered ones are more complex then the electric ones, but still they use a single servo for throttle and braking control. They are suitable for hobbies as well and are not the most expensive or complex ones. Another kind of Radio Controlled Cars are the brushed or brush-less electric motored ones. Most of them use internal combustion engines fulled by a great mixture of oil and some methanol or nitromethane and are often known as "nitro" cars. Other bigger and more recently introduced models are the ones that work on gasoline. They need such means of power because of their heavier weight and complexity in the making. They are also more expensive then nitro or electric cars. Gasoline powered cars are called "fuelies" or "gassers", and run on premixed gasoline and oil. Electric cars however, are considered to be easier to handle then the fuel-generated ones, being lighter and smaller. They have their advantages and are suitable for children or people at their first such model. Another category that classifies the Radio Controlled Cars is the on-off road one. There are the models that are fit for smooth surfaces, because they don;' have a suspension and could never face the challenges of a damaged terrain. But there are the off-road models that carry a suspension and are suitable for all kind of surfaces. So, if you are ready for a Radio Controlled Car, first analyze what you really need it for. If it's your first one, we suggest the electric powered one. But if you want something more powerful or you think you can handle something heavier, you can go for the nitro or gas- powered ones, and even select the off-road model. They can really meet your expectations and demands in races, shows or other competitions.
